@mongtan_official is worth the hype. We went at 2pm for the queue and there wasn’t one! So lucky! We were able to get a table of 3 and 2 for our party of 5. Since I didn’t see anyone answer this, you would generally queue and when you get to the front, there’s a sheet with the remaining time slots. Super easy.

Also there’s an amazing wine shop right next door and they also sell taiyaki (cash only). #seoul #korea #kbbq #mongtan #galbi

Let’s see your #wfh setup. I carry a folding desk, desk pad, laptop stand, extra monitor, mechanical keyboard, and a mouse. It makes my backpack 15kg but man does it come in handy! Perfect when staying @lhoteldebeaune and there’s no legit desk to work from. Then again, who comes to #burgundy to work? Just me. Pacific standard time to #France is rough but if the alternative is to never travel, I’ll do this every time 💯

@bo_noel_lausanne is so charming and delicious! You have to come here and eat a pot of #cheese…#America we are doing it wrong. Melty cheese dip in a bread bowl > than soup. Nothing beats walking around in the cold drinking some #vinchaud (hot wine) and chocolate chaud (the thickest European style hot chocolate!). #lausanne is gorgeous and the #fondue is so warm and satisfying.

Made it to #Athens and the @athenswas hotel is the perfect place to base your city explorations! They offer awesome hospitality with their welcome drink and for us, a surprise bottle of wine! Everyone in #greece is so nice!

We continued the #eating at #othanasis in #monastiraki for our first #lunch in Athens. There was no better way to kick off the food fest.

For a casual dinner in #oia, try @rokaoia. The service is friendly and the food approachable and good - 2 things generally hard to find in touristy areas!

We started with an #amusebouche in the form of a feta tart. The most memorable item we got was the kebab appetizer. I’ve had a lot of #kebab before but this one was almost sausage like in texture and juiciness, unlike the ground meat in the kefta style kebabs we are used to in the US. I would go back just for this dish alone.

We also got an eggplant tart and sautéed mushrooms as starters. Both were 😘👌. Moving onto the mains, I got the lamb 2 ways. The braise was less successful than the lamb chop but the sauce was flavorful nonetheless. We also got the chicken ravioli. #breakfast @canavesoia #canavesoiaepitome is included with your room. The views, like everywhere in #santorini, are amazing. Breakfast is served from the upper level outside deck.

We ordered everything. The bread basket is elaborate. The Greek specialty dishes like the scrambled eggs with feta, tomatoes and salami, the #Greek omelette with fries and the feta tart were all so tasty. But the super fun, unique feature offered is their #madetoorder #greekyogurt bar. So many options! I got honey, tahini and granola. I ate the whole thing.

#winetasting @gaiawines in #santorini. I mean, tasting wine with beach views in #greece…what more could you want? They have limited food so eat before coming! Their traditional app of crispy bread with tomato jam and feta was delicious as was the cheese plate. The wine is so affordable I wish I brought my wine bag protectors and extra luggage to bring it home. Seriously, 9 euros for some of their yummy bottles! The best dinner I’ve had in a long time @armenirestaurant in #santorini. You get down to Amoudi Bay and then take a boat to the place. So rustic! Only maybe 10 tables.

We ordered plenty…to the point our waiter was very impressed. Don’t worry; we shared the whole sea bream with the couple next to us. Food should never be either/or! Get it if you can and want to!

Dinner @oiagefsis where the view is only surpassed by the food.

We started with the #meatballs and #moussaka. Both were yummy but the moussaka is unlike anything you can get in the US. Usually, it’s too much bechamel and the ratio is just off. The moussaka here was really meaty and not heavy.

We also go the pasta with salmon and roe. Super tasty. And a braised lamb shank with beetroot purée. I hate beets. So I wasn’t all about that. The meat was delicious though.

Even more fun was watching people vie for opportunities to catch the sunset and here we are on a rooftop being served with all the views we can take in!

Amazing lunch and #winetasting @santo_wines. These views just can’t be beat. We were not expecting much as far as food at a winery but man oh man, the food far surpassed the wines.

The tuna and beef tartare was so unique. It was aggressively seasoned as is my preference. That fermented yolk gave such an awesome funk to the dish. We also got the crab salad which came with passion fruit, mango and avocado. So fresh! The octopus was very tender on a bed of fava. And the real star of the whole meal was this lobster orzo done in a risotto style with black garlic. #chefskiss 😘👌

What a lovely way to start our #foodie experience

What a lovely way to start our #foodie experience in #santorini with our first night’s dinner @oiavineyart where every #wine recommendation was perfect, every dish delicious and the #vibe on point! Come here to try all the wines of Santorini and most of Greece here in one place.

Now onto the food! The #amusebouche was a gazpacho made with santorini’s famed tomatoes. We chose a fish platter next with smoked eel, marinated anchovies, Aegean blue crab, and tuna. Since it’s our first time in santorini, we had to get the fava dip to try it! Super mild and very smooth. We got an order of fried cheese balls…because…why not? #lactoseintolerant The cheese was distinct, buttery and crispy on the outside. Next up was a bone in steak from #naxos with roasted potatoes. It was so #meaty and rustic. #meatlover And finally the dessert! It was their interpretation of #baklava modernized and filled with praline cream. We could’ve eaten so many more of these if we weren’t completely exhausted (and stuffed) from out 22 hours worth of flights and lounges! Oh well, it’ll just give us an excuse to come back here soon!
